Meiji Life Insurance Building opened in March of 1934, as the culmination of classical office building architecture. From the wartime metal deliveries, to the fire-bombing of Tokyo, to being requisitioned by the American military from 1945 to 1956 as the General Headquarters of the Allied Powers (GHQ) it has lived through the turmoil of the twentieth century. The building has been fully preserved and retains its original appearance for about 90 years, and in 1997, it became Japan’s first building to be registered as a Tangible Cultural Asset as an example of Showa-era architecture. We have moved to the top floor (8th floor) of this historical building. We hope you will stop by and visit us.
